WELCOME TO OUR CHILDREN'S MINISTRY

At Hope Valley we believe that children are precious and unique people, made in the image of God (Genesis 1:27).  We recognise that children play an important part in the Family of God, and we seek to value and treat them accordingly.  At Hope Valley our vision for children’s ministry is to:
 

‘Develop a lively, growing, relevant ministry in which children come to know Jesus Christ, respond to him and become equipped to reach out and care for others.’ (Psalm 78:4)

As such, our mission is:
 

‘To develop relationships with children and encourage them to become followers of Jesus and tell others about him.’
 

To accomplish this, we aim to:
 

1. Provide an ever-improving safe and caring environment for children to meet together to learn about and worship Jesus.
2. Encourage children to develop and recognise their God given potential and the integral part they have in the whole Family of God.
3. Enable the dynamic spiritual growth of children and their leaders.
4. Raise up and support trained and enthusiastic teachers/leaders who demonstrate God’s love.
5. Work towards a smooth transition of young people from children’s to youth ministries.
    

We believe that children are a highly valued part of the body of Christ, and that they can respond to God and have a relationship with Jesus Christ. We uphold the value expressed in Proverbs 22:6 that if you “train up a child in the way he should go, when he is old, he will not depart from, it.”
 

We are firmly committed to teaching children about God and encouraging them to develop their relationship with God, so that they will spend their whole lives living for Him and proclaiming His love to others. To facilitate this, we emphasise strong Biblical teaching, deep caring relationships, the value of prayer and we always point children first and foremost towards Jesus Christ.
 

We are passionate about God and his children. We desire to see children come to know and experience the deep love that God has for them, to respond to God with their lives and bring others to do the same!
